To retirement, and beyond: the lifetime costs of investing


In the age of drawdown income sustainability is the name of the game. But, when it comes to investing for and in retirement, the costs of the various elements (adviser, provider/platform, wrapper and investment) can add up to take a chunk out of the client’s fund.

We’ve taken a cross section of on- and off-platform providers and done the sums to see just how much the choices made at retirement can influence the charges taken – and by logical extension the fund value – over the lifetime of the investment.
